Slow Cooker Beef Steak Sandwich with Onions & Peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Beef Round Steak (Eye of Round Steak, Bottom Round Steak)
  • ½ cup Water or Low-Sodium Beef Broth
  • 1 packet Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Bell peppers
  • Sliced Provolone Cheese OR Shredded Italian Blend Cheese OR Cheese of Choice

Directions

  1. Slice the beef into about ¼-inch strips and place in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix water or beef broth, onion soup mix, garlic powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch, then add to the slow cooker.
  3. Then slice onions and peppers and place them in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on high for about 4 hours or until the steak is tender.
  5. Serve on a toasted bun and top with cheese. The broth can be used to dip the sandwich in. Another option is to serve with rice.
